Heavy vehicle modifications and design innovation are the focus of this two-day event. Organised by ARTSA, CVIAV and CVIAA and supported by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), this event will describe good practice and compulsory actions for workshops and operators. In particular the Chain of Responsibility obligations of workshops and vehicle modifiers will be explained.
The conference will consider the proposed revisions to the Heavy Vehicle Modifications Code (formerly VSB6) and allow attendees to have their say.
There will be workshops to inform, educate and gather feedback on your views on vehicle modifications. It will also release a practical guide to modifications to assist industry to understand the rules and obligations around modifications. More broadly it consider the policy settings and regulations that are needed to promote the safe and efficient uptake of new technologies and innovations.
