New vehicles added to freightliner recall

Freightliner owners urged to check Vehicle Identification Numbers after more added to recall list

The ACCC has recently added additional vehicles to a recall of Freightliner Argosy, Columbia and Coronado trucks.

Due to an electrical fault, which could cause the vehicle to suddenly loose power, a total of 4,145 vehicles have been recalled.

Owners of affected vehicles are advised to call 1300 323 722 to make a booking with a Daimler Truck & Bus Freightliner dealership to have a new PNDB installed, without the auto-reset software, free of charge.

The recall affects some trucks sold in Australia between June 2010 and August 2017.

A list of the affected vehicles is available here.
